I own nothing. I owe nothing. I fear nothing. I control nothing. I steward everything.

When I was young I thought singing was for girls. I was a tomboy so I disqualified. When I was five years old I put on my best friend's mom's wig and paraded around the local swim meet. I was named Tina Turner by the announcer as though I never knew how much music would mean to me.
My first album was Jump5's All I Can Do. I wrote lyrics to my own Christian songs. In kindergarten I started music class as well as sang in Christmas programs at my school. In third grade I started piano lessons and continued learning until freshman year of high school. As opposed to being chorus in the Christmas programs, in fifth grade we became the lead singers. I auditioned and was told I had a lovely voice. I was so inspired I took up singing full time.
The first album I learned to sing was Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway album. I learned every song while my dad played piano out in the living room. Music runs in the family. We came together and did duets all the time. Two of our go-tos include Desperado by the Eagles and Vincent (Starry, Starry Night).
In fifth grade I was recruited for my first gig to sing and make demo tracks for the kids at a church to sing. One of my favorite songs in the repertoire was New York, New York. In fifth grade I also started singing at Bellevue Youth Theatre.
In high school I started taking voice lessons and though I began as a classical vocalist, I begged my teacher to let me sing contemporary. I started singing the National Anthem at high school assemblies with 1,500 people. I also sang the Anthem at my swim meets for summer league. In Junior year I joined concert choir and for another assembly, I sang Lean on Me as a duet with a male peer with the choir in the back. I started singing the National Anthem for sports meets. I earned opening act singing Don't Rain on my Parade for the Broadway showcase at school. I also sang Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson for the talent show.
My voice teacher recommended I audition for Berklee College of Music. In Junior year I received an audition and sang Mercy on Me by Christina Aguilera. I also sang Jesus Take the Wheel as my audition for Belmont in Nashville. I got into both schools and decided to go with Berklee. In 2014 I moved to Boston and started school. I met so many amazing musicians and majored in Professional Music with concentration in Songwriting and Electronic Production and Design. I also got a minor in Instrument Repair. I did a lot of performance at college for crowds upwards of 2,000 people. During the summer of my freshman year I made several covers which are available to listen on SoundCloud.
These days I am working on my production and songwriting to create originals. I am sampling my favorite parts of my favorite songs. I would love to sing the National Anthem for the Mariners and the Seahawks.
